It is time to tell you about the kittens. I would have exploded had I tried to tell you before this moment.

This is how it happened: Hingry and I were trampolining-it-up, when dad came over and said:

"Did you know they have a fishtank?"

We, of course, did not know this.

"Come and see the tropical fish," says he.

Upon entering the small shed, the fish tank is to the left on a workbench. There are no fish. Not even any water. There IS, however, a cat.
Charly (Charlotte) is my cat's half sister. It has the same mother. She is coming up to a year old and is very small and tabby-cat. When we arrived to farm-sit we were told she was pregnant but not far along and not gonna have them any time soon.

Seeing this, I summon Hingry. We both agree that she has chosen where she wants to have her babies. I move closer.

Of course, suckling on her underside as she purrs contently, are four perfect little cats. I cry:

"KITTTERRRRNNNSSS!!!!!"

Hingry fetches dad. He had managed to miss the fact that two little ginger cats, a tabby cat, and a black cat with ginger splodges, lie beside her. I am so proud of my Charley cat!

Anyway, this was Monday the fourth. Today is Wednesday. Two days with the kittens has been magical. Of course, we give Charley her privacy a lot of the time, but she quite enjoys our company. They have grown already! CRAZY! One of the ginger ones is now a lot darker and more patterned than the other ginger one, which reminds me of Misty when she was their age.

Oh! I have just realised something! This makes Misty an Aunty!!!!!

xD

The patterned ginger is larger than the other. The little tabby cat (the one I am hoping for) Is also large. The little ginger and black one are still fairly little. The black one has turned out to be a VERY dark tabby, with few markings. He has tabby cat legs and splodges and face. He is very individual and sweet and Hingry has put her name down for it. I say "he" because it seemed to me like a boy when I checked his bum. Tabby cat seems to be a girl, which would be good for me as mum dislikes boy cats. However, it is difficult to tell so soon what gender they actually are, and we shall be checking later.

Charley is an extremely good and happy mother. She takes after her mum in that aspect. They are all asleep as I gaze at them right now. They've had a long day of eating and sleeping, and need their rest.

Four kittens born and three are already chosen, although which one of the ginger cats is yet to be discovered. There are plenty of cats on this farm. They will not suffer in that region. And Charley will probably have one or two more litters before they have her done.

I'm sorry I rambled, but they truly are amazing. And from such a little cat! I am very proud of her, although it still freaks me out that she is so young with it. It runs in the family, I guess.
